Dr. Vonika K.-M. Au was born in Hong Kong in 1985. She received her BSc (Major in Chemistry and Minor in Philosophy) from The University of Hong Kong in 2007. In 2012, she obtained her PhD for the work on “Luminescent Cyclometalated Gold(III) Complexes with Ancillary N-Heterocyclic Carbene and Alkynyl Ligands – From Design, Synthesis, Photophysics to Supramolecular Assembly and Functions” under the supervision of Prof. Vivian Wing-Wah Yam at the University of Hong Kong. Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Her current research is focused on the dynamic control of donor/acceptor molecular arrangements in flexible porous crystals.
