Dr. K. Venkata Rao was born in Dronadula (Prakasam district), Andhra Pradesh, India in 1986. He received his M.Sc degree in Chemistry from University of Hyderabad, India, in 2008. In 2013, he obtained his PhD for the work on “Organic and Hybrid Supramolecular Materials for Optoelectronics” under the supervision of Prof. Subi J. George at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, India. Currently he is a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo, Japan. His current research is focused on the development of supramolecular living polymerization methods to control the structure and functions of π-conjugated systems.
